I know what you mean. That was the nastiest stuff I've ever put in my mouth. Not again.. no, no, no. It took me 3 hrs to get it down and I had to hold my nose and chug, then stop. Boy, I felt felt like I was gonna . Good Luck!!!                                        Tiffany

Sure I did ... You just didn't see it! However, I had the complication that they are most concerned about when it comes to the bowel prep and I'm so glad I did it. With any lap procedure, there is a rare, but real possibility of perforating the colon. Well, just my luck ... It happened to me. My surgeon said that normally they have to immediately revert to an open procedure because of the septic situation that can arise, but that since everything was "clean as a whistle" they were able to resect the damaged portion of the colon Lap and continue on to do the RNY lap.

So ... Cleanse well! I'm sure you won't need it, but it's a good preventative.

Oooh, very insightful, Barb - I'd never thought of that!

And yes, that stuff was disgusting.  But I try not to advertise the little sacrifices in light of the major rewards!
